So yesterday I wrote my first post, and it’s quite serious. Sometimes I tend too much to the serious side - two years living in Poland after college did that to me. But I hope this blog will be more than merely my online journal and a place for me to get the writing bug out of my system. For those who may not know, I am a mom-to-be…. 34 weeks and counting! So this is the place for not only the latest theological rantings in my brain, but also pictures, stories, etc, about our new little life that we’ll soon be welcoming, and the transitions that follow.
It should be a pretty wild ride, and I’m excited about it. I hope many of you will join me.

hey katie! how exciting for you!!!! i look forward to seeing pics.
i know it’s been practically forever since i last spoke to you, but weirdly i was thinking about you just yesterday. i was chatting to a friend about lubbock and started wondering how you’re doing.
i’m still in england working full-time as a youthworker for a church in leicester and should be here at least until next january. i’d love to hear how you’re doing!

Howdy, friend! Welcome to the Blogosphere - it’s addicting, so watch out. But I really do feel like I stay in better touch with my friends that have blogs, so I’m happy that you have one. I was totally like you - kinda apprehensive at the thought of having one. But it didn’t take long for me to get over it.
A side note - there are also a ton of good mom blogs out there that are very encouraging. Hopefully you’ll find time to explore them when you’re up at 4 a.m. feeding the little munchkin.

Wow, Katie! I’m impressed with what you’ve started here. And congratulations on impending parenthood… By the way - I just had a baby in March. Uh, yeah I kind of lost track of you and fell out of touch (again).
But I will definitely check in on your blog and hopefully stay in better touch, like treadmarks said. Is there any blog etiquette I should know about b/c I’m pretty much a novice…?
